British Constitution Solitaire uses 86 cards (2 decks). Kings and Queens are removed from the decks. 32 tableau piles are placed on the board in the form of 4 rows of 8 piles (the "Constitution"). One card is dealt to each of the 32 tableau piles at the start of the game. You also have 8 foundations (The "Government").

One Ace is placed on each foundation pile at the start of the game.

The object of the game
Build each foundation up in suit to jack.

The rules
Only the top cards of the first tableau row (the "Privy Council") are available for play on the foundations. Tableau piles in the first three rows can be built down in sequence and alternating color using the cards from the row immediately below it. Spaces in the first three rows should be filled by the cards from the row immediately below it before any other moves can be made. The tableau piles in the fourth row can be built down in sequence and alternating color using the cards from the waste. Spaces in the fourth row are automatically filled from the waste or from the stock.

When you have made all the moves initially available, begin turning over cards from the stock pile to the waste pile.

There is no redeal.
