Grandmother Solitaire

2 decks. Easy. No redeal.

Grandmother Solitaire uses 104 cards (2 decks). You have 22 tableau piles and 8 foundations. There are also 4 reserve piles below the tableau. 22 cards are dealt to the tableaus (one card per pile). The next card is dealt to the first foundation pile. This will be the starter card of the left four foundation piles. The three other cards of the same rank and different suits are placed next to it during play as soon as they are available. The starter cards of the other four foundation piles must be one rank higher than the base card of first four foundations. The base cards are moved to these foundation as they become available during play.

The object of the game
 

  • Build the first 4 foundations down in suit, wrapping from King to Ace as necessary, until each pile contains 13 cards;

  • Build the last 4 foundations up in suit, wrapping from Ace to King as necessary, until each pile contains 13 cards.

The rules
The top cards of tableau piles and reserves are available for play on foundations. You can place the cards from the stock pile on any tableau pile in any suit and rank. Each tableau pile may contain up to 2 cards. Spaces in the tableau are filled automatically from the stock pile. You can move cards from the tableaus to the reserve piles and back. Cards cannot be moved from one tableau pile to another. Only one card allowed per reserve pile. You can play the top card of the stock pile to foundations, tableau piles and reserve piles.

There is no redeal.
