Light and Shade Solitaire
2 decks. Difficult. No redeal.
Light and Shade Solitaire uses 104 cards (2 decks). You have 4 tableau piles (one card is dealt to each pile at the start of the game), 4 reserve piles (one card is dealt to each pile at the start of the game) and 8 foundations.
Aces are moved to the foundations at the start of the game.
The object of the game
To build the foundations up in alternate colors to Kings.
The rules
You may build tableaus down in sequence and alternating color. Only the top card of each tableau pile is available for play on the foundations. One card or group of cards in the proper sequence can be moved from pile to pile. You can move cards to non-empty tableau piles from another tableau pile, reserve or waste pile. Spaces are filled by cards from reserve piles only.
Each reserve pile may hold only one card. When one of the reserve piles is empty it is automatically filled with a card from the waste pile, then from the stock pile.
Cards can be played on the foundations only from the tableau piles and not straight from the reserve piles or from the waste.
When you have made all the moves initially available, begin turning over cards from the stock pile to the waste pile. You can move cards from the waste pile to the tableaus according to the rules.
There is no redeal.
