Superior Canfield II Solitaire uses 52 cards (1 deck).

13 cards are counted out from the deck of 52 cards. This is the reserve pile. All of the cards in the reserve are face up.

The next 4 open cards are the tableau piles. The next card is placed above. This will be the starter card of the foundations. The three other cards of the same rank will be placed next to it during play as soon as they are available.

The object of the game
To build the foundations up in suit until each pile contains thirteen cards.

The rules
You can fill up foundation suits using the top card of the reserve pile and tableau piles. You can move cards from one tableau pile to another and from the reserve pile to a tableau pile. The rule is as follows: you should place cards in the order of highest to lowest, alternating suit colors. You can move either a single card or a set of cards. When one of the tableaus is empty it can be filled with a card from the reserve, waste, or other tableau piles.

When you have made all the moves initially available, begin turning over cards from stock. 3 cards at a time are turned over from the stock to 3 waste piles. The top card of each waste pile is available to play on tableaus or foundations according to the rules above. You can turn over the stock pile as many times as you wish.
