Chameleon Solitaire uses 52 cards (1 deck). You have 4 foundations and 3 tableau piles. The first card dealt to the first foundation pile is the starter card of the foundations. The other three cards of the same rank will be placed next to it during play as soon as they become available. You also have a reserve pile with 12 cards in it.

The object of the game
To build the foundations up in suit until each pile contains thirteen cards, wrapping from King to Ace as necessary.

The rules
You can build tableaus down regardless of suit. Only the top card of each tableau pile and reserve is available for play on the foundations. One card or group of cards in the proper sequence can be moved to another tableau pile. When one of the tableaus is empty it immediately fills up with a card from the reserve pile if possible, then by any card.

When you have made all the moves initially available, begin turning over cards from stock to the waste pile.

There is no redeal.

Wins are rare.
